societal nonsense

in response to a comment someone wrote about single life vs. married life:

single life or married life, it really needn't matter.

our society is so hung up on perceived norms, it's stiffling.

take any situation, and the boxes are created.

i had settled long ago that i would probably not marry, and was content being single. in fact, i value my private time.

then i met an eccentric, absent-minded professor, with whom i enjoy spending time.

even so: that private time i value? am adding that as a goal. as you understand, no offense to my love. alone time is precious, and everyone needs it.

a few months ago, i updated my email address at paypal ... it was sorely outdated ... the new one caused all sorts of hooey at paypal ... they have to be careful ... anyway ... let's wait until i have that damned mac in hand, before you add funds to my account.

who knows when i'll get it ... and yesterday one of our cohorts was suggesting we may never see them.

bah. i hope that was pessimism on his part.
