couple o' images from ... 2002 ... yup.

Some of you may remember when Mr. F and I drove a 14-foot U-Haul from my hometown of Las Vegas back to Grand Rapids, just after my mother sold her house. Here are two photos that have stuck in my head. Yeah, I have more. Just two for to(night).

Colorado Aspens. Driving through these ... breathe taking ... no words ...

In New Mexico, a detail of a Native American trading post.

such a great time that trip was ... Mom was still walking around ... though having trouble with vertigo ... and Mr. F and I were at the beginning of our relationship. That trip sealed it for us both. We so much want to drive cross country again without a care in the world. it'll happen.

That first picture is beautiful. Thanks for sharing them both.

Thank you, GG.

The beauty of those trees ... can a photo truly capture how beautiful they are?

We are rapidly approaching the time of year when the aspens change colors. They go from that bright green in your picture to a bright gold, lighter on one side than on the other. When the breeze blows through them, the trees shimmer in the sunlight.

Aspens are my favorite tree.

It would be beautiful to see aspens in the fall. Maybe I've seen them in photos?

I don't know much about trees, definitely not much about aspens.

(transplanted desert girl.)

I'm learning ... but primarily about the trees around here.
