outside of the corporate world

it's only been two days, but i'm anticipating what it's like to live outside of corporate america.

working for the grand rapids press for almost 20 years, there's a certain level of status and security.
perceived or real, there was also a sense of privilege. things seemed to come easily.
mentioning that i worked for the newspaper, people seemed to treat me a certain way.

will all of that go away now that i'm not a part of established society?

it's not scary ... not yet, at least.
just wondering.

Reality Bites
Nancy,

I went through the same thing. Huge withdrawals from a career that could span years. My computer programming world that lasted 20 years ended so abruptly - it was hard at first - but guess what - the world continues to spin - and other opportunities, which I think are "better" in terms of moving on in life, suffice. May be very hard at first but as the days go by, the silver will show slowly....... good luck, marie
