sad today ...

... i think it's finally hitting me that we sold our beautiful home in grand rapids.
it had become too much for us ... but i miss it and all the windows which brought in tons of light.
the thought that a young kid ... younger than 25, i think, purchasing the house and bringing three of his buddies to live with him in the house is rough. i imagine they will destroy some of the 1922-era uniqueness of the house ... yet i know he is up for fixing stuff that desperately needs it with the help of his dad ... it was a great space in a great neighborhood.

big changes, good, yet can't go without some sadness. i lived there for 15 years, six and a half with mr. f.

on the flip side, i'm relieved to be rid of such a tremendous, money-sucking project AND too much space AND too much stuff exploding beyond the house's capacity.

yesterday, the place we looked at is 828 sq. ft. it seems so much more manageable.

Everything I own fits into a tiny little room... which is half full of furniture that isn't mine.

Obviously, you can relate. :)

We still have a storage unit packed with furniture and other stuff. We aren't completely free like it sounds like you are.
