marfa note 3: us with them

After spending four days in Marfa,
it seems like it would be a good place for us
ONLY because a lot of the people there
are flaky, artist types like Mr. F and me
who like to take their time
and come and go as they please. A little scary.

The only problem is Marfa relies
on other cities for its food supply.
Nothing's locally grown.

It's just SO interesting reading your adventures and different impressions of places. I'm really glad you're sharing it with all of us!

Cool, Molly!
Sometimes I feel like what I'm writing is sooo boring ... especially b/c there isn't a ton of feedback. I guess people are reading it, 'cause they reply elsewhere on the internet or email or phone.

Have you been to Marfa?

Nope, I've hardly been in Texas at all, just in um... Amarillo.

Hi Molly, Before this trip to Texas, Amarillo/Panhandle was the only part of Texas I had gone through! Texas is an interesting state! All of it. I hope we can make it through Amarillo on our way back to Indiana. It would be very interesting to see how it's changed since the mid-1970s.

Re: no local food
To Anonymous: We fled. No intentions of living in Marfa. We're looking for big city amenities.
