We have a piano, but no one will play

Here we are spending most of the past two days and tomorrow at this o&g conference in Tulsa.

There's a beautiful baby grand piano in the hotel's restaurant

and no one in our conference will play it so we can get people singing.

Eh, they most likely believe I'm weird, because I walked up to the executive director of the Oklahoma chapter of NARO and the fun representative from one of the o&g companies and started singing, "I'm A Girl Who Can't Say No." (This song is from the musical, Oklahoma, which Mr. F had playing loudly in our car's  CD player.)

There two people were intrigued, at first, when I said I couldn't help myself but I had to share the song. Once I sang, they went glassy-eyed and attempted to survive the moment.

Could it have been the wrong song from, "Oklahoma?" They hate the musical about their state? They believe I'm nuts? Or they have no creative spirit?

Oh, well. At least the guys at the registration desk were up for finding a place for me to perform, including their hotel's bar.
