Another update on the little fawn

This past Saturday, Mr. F and I had a bit of a scare:
On our way to the huge sale we were participating in, we drove past a dead deer on the side of the road near the family forest.

I was tearful after that, because I've believed our fawn and its family traveled a huge geographical swath of forest and meadow stretching beyond the main road and neighbors' properties.

All day Saturday and Sunday, I believed the fallen dear had been a part of the family we see regularly in the forest near our hovel.

Sunday at dusk as we drove back from our second day at the big sale, we drove onto the property, and there was the entire deer family we know.

Thank God. The little fawn and its sibling and parents are all safe.

We've seen them twice since Sunday evening.

I'm such a sap: This whole summer calling out to them, "We love you! We love you!"
They stand and stare for a minute, then gallop off.

They must think I'm a crazy humanoid.

On a side note, girl_next_dork, is right about her postulate, Fawn's Law: Things have a positive way of working out. Just give 'em time.

Yay!
I am SO glad you were wrong. If it makes you feel better, I probably would've felt the exact same way you did when I saw the dead deer. *hugs*
