this chore dragged out mercilessly

I hate cleaning.

I hate it.

Plus, all that dust … there’s a lot … is bothering my breathing and sinuses.

I don’t believe i’ve ever dragged out this chore in such a sluggish manner as i have this week.

if only we could once again afford someone else to do it.

bah.

I hate cleaning, too.
The trick is to never let it get so bad that it takes several days to clean up. Find ways to do things little by little each day. When you finish with something, put it away. When you're done taking a bath, take a minute to wipe out the tub. When you've finished eating something, wash your plate or bowl. It's hard to get into these habits, but once you start it makes life sooo much easier. Then you break down the other chores so that you do them throughout the week. Perhaps one of you will clean a bathroom on Wednesday and the other will vacuum on Thursday. Each thing doesn't usually take long, but when you let them build up and try and do them all in one day it's overwhelming and it just makes you hate cleaning all the more.

Good luck!!

oh, these are wonderful ideas, and i've been known to do this in the past.

there's no way mr. f is going to follow such a regimen. it's against his nature. i really believe this. he is one of those natural slobs ...

i could try breaking the tasks up into smaller ones ... but we do have to finish this intense cleaning. start from ground zero.

plus, i need to get a mask for breathing ... the dust is too much on my respiratory system. this morning, i woke up feeling horrific.

people have been doing cleaning in smaller tasks forever ... it just has to be done, as much as i loathe doing it.
