Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire

mr. f and i saw, "Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire," today.

Of course, it wasn't the book. But it was very well done. I really enjoyed it.

It's a shame they had to take out soooooo much of the book to fit it into the traditional 2-hour movie. They did an excellent job of eliminating and revamping the story to make it run succinctly.

A much different story was when they transferred "The Mists of Avalon" from book to film. It was a horrific attempt, leaving out much background information that really was pithy. I would have turned this book into a one-season series and stuck to the original book religiously.

Back to GF: It will be fun to rent the DVD when it comes out, and see what scenes they deleted.

btw: did i ever mention that after reading the sixth book, "Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince," I couldn't stand the anticipation of waiting for the last book to come out ... what in 2008/9, that I re-read all the books up to GF? Started "Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix," however, am trying to not become too obsessed with HP and his gang. So am reading other stuff right now ... like, "Gorky Park." Another great book ... (turned into movie).
