newspapers have to evolve or ...

the spoof is great.
sure it's funny, but its message is true.

-----
a quick hits list of some newspapers that seem to be getting the idea that we can't survive without a strong, savvy, interactive online presence:

http://www.azcentral.com/ent/
http://www.savannahnow.com/
http://www.courierpress.com/

it's a start. we have far to go.

Hahaha.

You know, I used to subscribe to Film Score Monthly. It was an expensive magazine, too, and they went ahead and stopped printing. I believe now it's an all-online feature. I definitely hear you.

The slap-fight is great. ASK ABBY! ASK ABBY! :D

yeah, we in the print business have to get outta denial ... i hope it's not too late.

the reference to "ask abbie" is a chicago inside joke.
i wondered about it, because i know redeye is a cool online version of the chicago tribune.

googline "ask abbie": concerns a chicago sun-times blog/blogger ... abbie is with chicagometro ... it seems there was some weird controversy in 2002 about abbie and dogz 4. whatever that means. i didn't read the whole exchange.
