i am ...

... a pack rat.

containers of rubberbands from the daily mail and newspaper;
any piece of paper that is blank on the other side ... stacks, piles and drawers filled;
twisty ties from whatever ... now in a small box ... my hubbie probably throws some out when i'm not looking;
every issue of utne reader since 1990; every issue since wired magazine it first was published  (I'm keeping the wired with kevin warwick on it) ...

... that's probably enough examples ... it goes on ... a good friend just spent three hours helping me say good-bye to much of this stuff. after awhile, we had to just throw it in boxes and put them on the truck.

the 'zines are gone and part of the scrap paper.

I feel you girlfriend. Ultimately, it's liberating, however, for me it was part of my identity and that part of myself then needed redefined (if I wanted to stay mobile and not create a new rut for myself). I KNOW you are up to the task. Sufficiency...it's an interesting place to live... at least for a while. You will start to notice (if you have not yet) that as you need things, they will show up. Nature abhors a vacuum and what a delicious vacuum you are creating! Here's to the WONDERFUL things, experiences and knowledge that will rush in to fill it! : ) u~zanne

Thanks for sharing this, u-zanne. ;-)
It's amazingly comforting ... which is what i (and mr. f) need right now. we're feeling the angst of deadlines and procrastination.
