Here in Albuquerque, I saw a new doctor, who turns out to be about alternative medicine and healthy lifestyle. So far I like him, and his nurse is awesome.

I was there three hours. Some waiting, but mainly initial interview and exam for this current bout of bronchitis I've had for a week now. Been fighting it off for months now. Keeping the bronchitis I had in September from creeping back in. Well, it finally did.

This new doctor put me on a variation of a strict diet I started a week ago. It's along the gluten-free, simple carbohydrate-free, no vinegar, no mold (mushrooms or aged foods) diets. No antibiotic yet. I agree on that. No infection yet, just agony and pain. So no need for such an intense drug. He wants me to see ... a chiropractor ... I've never been to one ... to massage the lung region. Usually I've gone to massage therapists for this and it helps incredibly. I'm nervous about seeing the chiropractor. Will there be good side effects immediately and within a few days or will there be bad side effects immediately following and for several days which make me feel worse? If I wait until next week, time could be wasted? I just don't know. Right now I have an appointment scheduled for next week, but there is one that might open up this Thursday.

The great thing is that this doctor wants to know why I keep having these recurring bouts of bronchitis. He's not going to treat this as an isolated incident, but as a whole. Halleluiah.

Oh, and he wants an x-ray of my lungs. I'm afraid of what he'll find there: Years of secondhand cigarette smoke from two chain smokers, to begin with. My GR doctor never told me what my lung x-ray looked like when it was done ... around 2001. I'm guessing he didn't want to alarm me. Or believed it was the natural state of being the recipient of years of secondhand smoke.

I'm just sick of being sick and believe the diet change will have the most impact at this point. Moving to an arid climate was the first major step.
